How to Complete Post Charges Subtabs

Path: Admin > Batch Management > Batch Jobs — Batch Job Entry popup window

Complete the steps in How to Create Post Charges Batch Jobs before following these instructions.

  1. Click the Email Address Subtab and type the e-mail address of the persons who should receive notices about the Batch Job. See the note below regarding system generated messages.
  2. Click the Notes Subtab to add any comments or reminders.
  3. Click the Next button.

  4. Type the Post Date. This is the transaction date of records that qualify for posting.
  5. (Optional) Select Closed WOs Only to limit the charges posted.
  6. (Optional) Check Approved Labor Only if you use the Time Card Approval feature. A check in this box means that no labor lines are posted unless they have an approval date.
  7. (Optional) Click the Notify Customer and Release to Pending Charges if your organization uses the Enterprise Pending Charges Review/Dispute feature.
  8. Enter the Repair Center that applies to this batch. This is required.
  9. Clear or check the boxes of the types of transactions to be posted. *
  10. Click the Finish button to save the job.

* For Project Requisitions, be sure PRs have a Delivery Date earlier than the batch job Post Date. Only line items that meet this requirement can be posted.

Once a Post Charges batch file is run, records for posted items cannot be edited or deleted. Enterprise users post to a Sub-Ledger, which allows the batch to be reversed.

BtnNoteText The File > Email command opens the Email Browse window to list selected system-generated e-mail messages that notify interested parties when a posting job has run. Use the log to forward individual messages to others and to select multiple messages to be deleted. The messages accumulate until deleted.
