How to Create a New Work Order on Pocket PC

Path: Work Order > Records / New

When you follow the menu path, the title bar on the window reads "New WO *NEW1*". The number increases for each work order you create. To complete a new work order from mobileTMA:

  1. Select a location, a Tag # or both.

    Note: Fields with red labels are required. You must also provide either a location or tag number in order to save a record.

  2. Select the Repair Center.
  3. Select the WO Type.
  4. Select the Priorities.
  5. Go to the Action Req Subtab.
  6. Type the requested work to be done.
  7. Tap Done BtnDonePPC on the menu bar to save the record.

You can use the Options menu to review the checklist if one is used for the work order. You can also open the Post Parts, Post Labor, or Post Other Charges windows using the Options menu selections.

If you are creating a work order after the work has been performed, complete the necessary fields, and tap Done to save all information. Remember to mark the record as closed and to post labor to record your hours.

BtnNoteText The area number (and tag number if applicable) must be valid for a work order to transfer successfully to WebTMA; invalid work orders that cannot be transferred are listed in the Error Log.
